We're a family-owned home building company with a simple mission: to provide equitable access to wealth building through ownership of real estate.

In the last decade - heck, the last 4 years - it has gotten immensely more difficult to become a homeowner. Prices are high, rates are higher, investors are more active than ever, and it's making it difficult for people who want to buy their first home.

Simply put, Family Building Company exists to try and help in the areas of homeownership achievability and wealth building through real estate.

• We harvest affordable land in suburban markets surrounding the city centers and build modest, high-quality homes on it.

• We build new homes between 800 - 1800 square feet and deliver them to the market well below the median price (as of early 2024, the Triangle metro area median home is around $475,000 and our average home is $272,000).

• We believe housing affordability is a long-term pursuit - not just about the price paid on closing day - so we focus our investment into durable, lasting materials over decorative fashion trends.

• We work with our local vendor partners to lower the barriers to homeownership through first-time-homebuyer programs.

• We invite investors of all levels to participate in our construction projects and create passive income from them.

• We build new homes for investors on unbuilt land, in an aim to reduce strain on the existing inventory on the market while still serving a demand for additional investment properties.
